The Irish Perennial Rescue Society is the oldest service organization in the world.  During the Gaul's sack of Rome in 300 B.C., Roman historians (1) noted the heroic efforts of the Irish Druids to rescue displaced plant life and relocate them to more protected quarters.  Almost all of the famous Roman Gardens owe their genesis to the Irish Perennial Rescue Society.  In fact, the original motto was: ceasar.jpg

"When in Rome, do as the Irish Perennial Rescue Society does."

Ceasar, in a desperate attempt to rewrite this history, removed the Society as the Roman model of enlightened behavior.  The Roman Empire immediately began to decay from within, and Caesar's abandonment of the Rescue Society ultimately led to the Roman Empire's complete and utter downfall.  The Irish Perennial Rescue Society, on the other hand, continues to thrive to this day.
